Abstract
PURPOSE: To quantitatively recover catalyst components by extracting heteropolyacid catalysts of degraded activity by allowing the same to contact a water-base medium then heat-treating the extracted liquid in a gaseous atmosphere contg. molecular oxygen.
CONSTITUTION: When the activity of heteropoly catalysts deposited with catalyst components such as molybodophosphoric acids and molybodovanadophosphoric acids, first the catalysts are allowed to contact a water-base medium, whereby the catalyst components are extracted. Thence, this extracted liquid is heat-treated in a gaseous atmosphere contg. molecular oxygen. Then, the catalyst components are re covered nearly quantitatively, and therefore if they are deposited again on the carriers, the regenerated catalysts have the activity equivalent to that of new catalysts.
