Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent negative friction between a pile and its surrounding ground by isolating them from each other by a method in which a pile whose tip or middle portion is provided with a guard plate is driven into the ground and then sand, or the like is filled into a space formed by the action of the guard plate.
CONSTITUTION: A steel pipe or concrete pile 1, whose tip or middle portion is provided with a guard plate 2 on which an annular filler discharge tube 4 hung by a steel wire 9, etc., is placed, is driven down to a given support layer c in such a way as to form a space 10 around the pile 1 by means of the upper part of the guard plate 2. Then, a filler S, e.g., sand, is supplied into the discharge tube 4 through a hose 8 from a supplyer 11, while the discharge 4 is pulled up. Thus, no negative friction occurs between the pile 1 and its surrounding ground because the periphery of the pile 1 in soft ground (a) is isolated from the soft groung a by the filler S, e.g., sand, etc.
