Abstract
PURPOSE:To make a recovery device smaller in size and higher in efficiency by disposing a chamber which evaporates the condensed water content in the lower part of a condensed solvent absorbing chamber in such a manner as to utilize for precooling of a gas contg. the evaporated solvent in a receovery device for solvents from the fixing and drying part of a copying machine. CONSTITUTION:Transfer paper P is fixed by a heat roll and the solvent vapor produced by this is passed through a suction port 8a by suction fan 9 then through a lead-in path 8b, a cooling path 8c, a condensing path 8d, and an exhaust path 8e. The condensed solvent and the water content from the introduced atmospheric air are gathered in a solvent capturing trap 12. The trap 12 is provided with a ball valve 12 a for separating the solvent and the water content, and a water content evaporator 13 is provided in the lower part by having a bottom part in the path 8b and opening a steam exhaust hole 13a into the path 8e. The water content separated from the solvent in this way deprives the heat of the high-temp. gas in the path 8b as latent heat of evaporation at the time of evaporation and therefore it reduces the burdens of a thermoelectric cooling element 10 and a heat pump 11, thereby improving cooling efficienty and solvent recovery rate.
