Abstract
PURPOSE: To solve a chronic water shortage problem and carry out the waste gas exhaustion and desulfurization at a low cost by a mechanism wherein sea water is used as the water supplied to a dust removing tower and the exhaust water from the dust removing tower is subjected to the evaporative treatment to separate into a water and a solid component.
CONSTITUTION: The sea water 16 is supplied to a dust removing tower as a washing water to carry out the dust removing treatment and the part of the liquid in the interior of the dust removing tower is supplied to a evaporation can 18 as the exhaust water 17. The water vapor evaporated under vacuum by a vapor ejector 22 is cooled and condensed by a condenser 20, thereafter the condensed water is recirculated to the desulfurizing apparatus through a line 24. Because suspended substances and salts within the exhaust water are separated in the evaporating can 18, the part of content in the evaporating can 18 is supplied to a centrifugal separating machine 19 to separate into the mixture 25 of the salts and the suspended substances and the filtrate 26 and the filtrate is returned to the evaporating can. Because the residue is separated as the moisture in the evaporating can is decreased, the blown liquid 27 of the filtrate 26 is supplied to an evaporating apparatus to evaporate the water and the salts 29 is recovered.
