Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve water making efficiency by a method wherein water is obtained from moisture in gas while water with low quality is evaporated by latent heat while the humidity is condensed, and water is gained by also cooling and condensing steam acquired by the evaporation.
CONSTITUTION: Moisture in air fed to a housing portion 1 is adsorbed to an adsorbent 1a by driving a blower 2 by utilizing the adsorbent 1a housed in the housing portion 1, gas heated by means of a heater 5 up to a high temperature is supplied to the housing portion 1, and the moisture adsorbed is desorbed as steam. The steam is cooled by water 20a with low quality at a condenser-evaporator 20 and changed into water. At the same time, the water 20a with low quality is evaporated and turned into steam, introduced to a condenser 4 through a path 23 and converted into water, and sent to a water receiving tank 6. Thus, the latent heat of the condensation of desorbed steam, which has been wastefully discharged into air in the conventional devices, can effectively be utilized, and water making efficiency is improved.
