Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent optical fibers from bending owing to disorder of the arrangement and loosening by assembling the 1st layer composed of a plurality of optical fibers, adhering the fibers to each other, assembling the 2nd layer on the 1st layer, adhering the fibers to each other, repeating these processes to assemble prescribed layers, and coating the resulting assembly with a sheath. CONSTITUTION:The 1st layer composed of a plurality of optical fibers 10 is formed on an optical fiber 10, and the fibers 10 are slightly adhered to each other. For example, when each fiber 10 has a nylon coat, phenol, cresol or amide solvent is used as an adhesive. On the 1st layer the 2nd layer is assembled, and the fibers 10 are slightly adhered to each other. These processes are repeated to assemble prescribed layer, and the resulting assembly is coated with a sheath 14. Thus, the optical fibers 10 can be prevented from bending owing to disorder of the arrangement and loosening.
