Abstract

An optical fibre (10) coated with a single ultraviolet cured resin (16) wherein the attenuation losses are less than 0,5 decibels/kilometer. The resin has a tensile modulus of about 550 Kg/cm². Thus cable is particularly useful in loosely wrapped cable structures such as an open channel or loose tube cables.
