Abstract

PURPOSE:To save energy and expedite a cycle by providing a detachable inner block and a detachable outer block and replacing the inner block with a new inner block immediately after molding through heating inside the inner block. CONSTITUTION:Foamable thermoplastic resin particles are filled in a mold cavity 30 provided in inner blocks 11, 21. Then the inner blocks 11, 21 are set in outer blocks 12, 22. Following this procedure, vapor is introduced into vapor chambers 13, 23 to carry out molding through heating. Later, the inner blocks 11, 21 are taken out of the mold with a foamed molding A attached and then are cooled. At the same time, the both inner blocks 11, 21 are opened and a foamed molding is taken out. Simultaneously new inner blocks 11, 21 are set so that molding may be performed anew through heating.
