Abstract
PURPOSE: To completely prevent dust from entering into a reduction gear from outside, let alont oil leakage, and permit the prevention of noises to be spread outside, by housing the reduction gear part inside a double casing comprising a cylindrical drum and a housing.
CONSTITUTION: The hollow cylindrical housing 8 in a cylindrical drum 1 is formed by connecting a main body 8a and a cap body 8b. A sun gear 16a is formed in the intermediate part of an input shaft 16 and mated with a planetary gear 13. The input shaft 16 is inserted into the housing 8 from the side of the cap body 8b. The front end part thereof is supported by the central part of a fixed shaft 6 through a bearing 18, while the vicinity of the base end thereof is fitted in and supported by the cap body 8b through a bearing 19. In addition, the reversing transmitting body 20 has a gear 20a integrally formed in the central part which is mated with a gear 7. The internal gear 20b thereof provided in the same row with the sun gear 16a at the base end is mated with the planetary gear 13 to constitute a planetary gear mechanism, the reversing transmitting body 20 being housed in the housing 8. Thereby, oil leakage and the intrusion of dust into the reduction gear from outside can be completely prevented and at the same time, noises spreading to outside can be largely reduced.
