Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of an exhaust gas at the time of deceleration of an engine by a method wherein when the number of revolutions of the engine is above a predetermined value and an idle detecting switch goes ON, a throttle actuator is controlled immediately so that a stroke shaft causes a throttle valve to become displaced in the opening direction from its idle opening position. CONSTITUTION:The idle detecting switch 11 detects a condition in which the throttle valve 13 can be controlled through the throttle actuator 7. Then a pulse type engine rpm sensor 10 detects the number of revolutions of the engine exceeding the predetermined value upon actuation of the idle detecting switch 11. The sensor 10 drives the actuator 7 by a predetermined amount in a direction in which the opening degree of the throttle valve increases and then in a direction in which it decreases at a predetermined rate.
