Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable to perform a simple and stepless pressure reduction, by a method wherein, in a variable constant ratio pressure reducing device provided with a slitter line equipment for rolling a beltlike sheet, a path area is adjusted through the movement of a spool positioned between a primary pressure inlet path and a secondary pressure outlet path.
CONSTITUTION: A spool 2 is movably placed in a valve body 1 provided with an inlet path 3, feeding a primary pressure P1, and an outlet path 4, feeding a secondary pressure P2, and an opening area of an orifice 6 is adjusted through the movement of the spool 2 to reduce the primary pressure P1 at a constant ratio. A control pressure Pc, which is reduced in order starting from the primary pressure P1 by means of a throttle 11, placed at a pilot line 10, and by means of a variable throttle 12 having an adjusting screw 12a, is applied to the back of the spool 8 to move the spool 2 to a position allowing the Pc to balance the secondary pressure P2. An urging force of a spring 9 is reduced sufficiently, an thereby the control pressure Pc becomes approximately equal to the secondary pressure P2. Thus, through the adjustment of the adjusting screw 12, the control pressure pc, i.e., the secondary pressure P2 can be obtained simply.
