Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the pressure of fluid such as town gas on the downstream side of a pressure regulator to a required level, by controlling a pressure reducing valve disposed at a portion of a pipe for feeding the fluid such as town gas.
CONSTITUTION: In a time period, for instance, from 16 to 20 o'clock, when the demand for town gas is increased, a solenoid valve 15 is opened by a timer 16. Resultantly, primary pressure is transmitted to a pressure chamber 9 via a conduit 14, so that an auxiliary diaphragm 10 is displaced downward until a stopper piece 13 comes into abutment with the top of a driving unit 2a. Therefore, a pressure regulating spring 8 is compressed and its spring force is increased, so that the secondary pressure is kept at a relatively high value P2b. On the other hand, after passing of the above time period, the solenoid valve 15 is closed, pressure in the pressure chamber 9 is released gradually to the secondary side via a flow throttle 18, so that pressure on the secondary side is transmitted to the chamber 9 and the secondary pressure is kept at a relatively low value P2a.
