Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize variations in the heat absorption efficiency of the captioned device, which are caused by variations in the direction in which the sunlight is radiated, by forming the device in such a manner that it has a convex heat receiving portion.
CONSTITUTION: Shells 1, 2 and a transparent member 3 are formed in such a manner that all of them have their respective convex principal portions of the same curvature. The upper shell 2 is disposed concentrically above the lower shell 1 with a substantially constant gap maintained therebetween. An upper surface of the upper shell is painted black which has a high heat absorption efficiency. The transparent member 3 is also disposed concentrically above the shell 2 with a predetermined gap maintained therebetween. A heat receiving device thus formed receives at a portion thereof nearly perpendicular soler light rays when the sun is in a low position in the east or west. Therefore, this device permits absorbing the solar heat effectively.
