1517449 Utilizing solar heat DBI WICKRAMASURIYA 20 Dec 1976 [28 Aug 1976] 35910/76 Heading F4U A solar energy liquid heater comprises a flexible envelope e.g. of PVC formed with an upper transparent sheet 2 and a lower opaque sheet 3 coloured black and intended to rest on a support surface, which envelope is divided by a third sheet 4 of a dark colour and of thermally absorbtive material into an upper gas-tight container and a lower liquid-tight container 6, each container having at least one closable opening 8 (7). The liquid container has open compartments 6a communicating with the closable opening by heat sealing the sheet 4 to the lower sheet 3 and a pocket 11 accommodates a carrying handle 10.
