Abstract

PURPOSE: To uniform the abrasion of a grinding wheel by detecting the change in grinding power from the driving torque of a motor, and comparing the detected value with a preset control level in order to control the infeed.
CONSTITUTION: A grinding power detector 7 detects the change in the grinding power of a grinding motor 6. The change is compared with a preset given control level by the first and second comparators 8 and 9. According to the comparison result, a grinding wheel spindle stock control circuit 12 controls the relative infeed between a workpiece 2 and a grinding wheel 15. This prevents the uneven abrasion due to a long continuous machining.
