Abstract
PURPOSE: To work a tip to a uniform sharp-pointed shape with wire materials of any diameter by applying voltates between the end part of a gold alloy blank wire immersed in electrolyte and the electrode in the electrolyte, dividedly in two times, in the static state and in the relatively vertically moving state.
CONSTITUTION: Voltage of 2W15V is applied between the cathode in mixed electrolyte 2 of 40W90:5W60:5W20 sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and water by vol% and a gold alloy blank wire 4 of which the end part is immersed in the liquid 2, whereby the end part of the wire 4 is primarily electrolytically polished to a V shape. In this case, the primary polishing is ended when the current between the wire 4 and the cathode goes zero or close to zero. Next, the wire 4 after the primary polishing is again immersed in the liquid 2 and while the wire 4 and the liquid level are being vertically moved 0.5W5.0mm relative to each other, the end part is electrolytically polished in the same manner as that in the primary polishing. In this case, the voltage is applied until the current flowing from the wire 4 goes zero. The worked product obtained by this is used for needles for acupuncture or the like.
