Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform assemblying and electrical connection at the same time, by mounting a plurality of cell modules, on the peripheral part of which positive and negative electrodes are provided, to a panel by compressing the modules with pads on which conductive paths are provided. CONSTITUTION:The cells 32 are connected in series by connecting rods 33, arranged on a square glass plate 38, and connected to the positive and negative terminal electrodes 34 and 35. The cells are fixed by a filling material, cut out parts having a quarter round are provided at corners so as to expose the terminals, and a module 31 is formed. A plurality of modules are aligned on the panel 39, compressed and fixed by connecting the corners of each module to circular pads 37 with screws. Three kinds of the pads 37 on which different conducting paths (including those which do not have the conducting path) are printed are prepared. The modules can be connected in the longitudinal, lateral, or a oblique direction, as required. In this constitution, by suitably combining the aligning method of the modules 31, and the kinds and usages of the pads 37, the panel on which the modules 31 are connected in series or in parallel can be readily assembled.
