PURPOSE:To enable high operation accuracy to be obtained by a simple construction by measuring the frequency of the frequency signal obtained by converting the current corresponding to the resistance value of a resister to be measured. CONSTITUTION:Voltage V and the current Ix flowing in a resister Rx are fed to a resister Rx and a frequency converter FC respectively with a resister to be measured Rx connected to measuring terminals O1 and O2. The frequency signal f1 from a frequency converter FC is subjected to the frequency division by a flip-flop FF and an NAND gate NG feeds the output clock f0 of an oscillator OS to a counter CO during the period corresponding to the pulse width T1 of thus-obtained frequency- divided signal. The count value C of the counter CO is given to an indicator DI via a latch circuit LA and a decoder DE and the value of the resister Rx is digitally indicated. Thereby, reciprocal operation can be improved in accuracy, digitalization is facilitated and the required quantity of parts can be reduced.
