Abstract

PURPOSE:To control output of a heat gas engine using simple construction by controlling the phases of the expansion side crank shaft and compression side crank shaft by means of connection of these shafts through oil-hydraulic system. CONSTITUTION:When the crank shaft 15a on the expansion side of a heat gas engine rotates in the direction indicated by the arrow, a pump 20a is put into operation to send the oil to an oil delivery pipe 21 and drive a hydromotor 20b, and the compression cylinder side crank shaft 15b, interlocked with the above, beings to rotate in the same direction and at the same speed as the shaft's 15a. When the output is to be decreased, a solenoid operated valve 24 is opened temporarily to allow the oil in the pipe 21 to by-pass for a return tube 22 and to bleed the oil from the pipe 21 temporarily for the purpose of delaying the rotation of motor 20b. When the power is to be increased, on the other hand, a pump 23 is driven temporarily to press the oil in the return tube 22 forward to the oil delivery pipe 21 for the purpose of promoting the rotation of motor 20b. According to this system of oil quantity regulation, the output of a heat gas engine can be controlled with simple construction.
