Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide possibility to shut off the fuel at the time of speed reduction from immediately after the beginning of speed reduction to the state the engine revolutions become sufficiently low by sensing the number of revolutions at the time of speed reduction distinctly discriminated from those at the time of racing.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel-shutting solenoid operated valve 20 equipped at the carburetor is connected in parallel with a number-of-revolutions switch 14 with hysteresis characteristic, a cooling water temp. switch 15, a suction tube neg. pressure switch 16, a neutral safety switch 17 and a key switch 22, and has such a construction as opened by magnetic excitation. The neutral safety switch 17 is to define whether the shift lever is in the stop range or in running range for discriminating no-load racing from speed reduction. According to this arrangement, it is not required to provide a delay time between the establishment of shutoff condition and the shutoff itself nor to set the revolving speed of the engine some higher.
