PURPOSE: To reduce the sectional area of steel sheet pile as well as lessen its deflection by a method in which a steel sheet pile is driven in along the line of a revetment, a cut beam is provided and its inside is excavated, a dowel is joined to the exposure face of the steel sheet pile, and then concrete wall is constructed integrally with the steel sheet pile.
CONSTITUTION: Steel sheet piles 1 are driven in so as to make the distance between them larger than the design river width, and then a cut beam 2 is provided between the steel sheet piles 1. Then, the inside of the cut beam 2 is excavated to form a trench 3, a strut 4 is provided at a position a given distance from the bottom, and dowels 5 are joined at proper intervals to the exposure face of the steel sheet piles 1. Afterwards, a concrete bottom slab 6 is provided on the bottom of the trench 3, the strut 4 is removed, concrete is placed on the sides of the trench 3 between the steel sheet piles 1 to construct a concrete wall 7, and then the cut beam 2 is removed.
