Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a titled composition having no residual carbon in in-furnace brazing of a gaseous atmosphere of high reducing characteristic by using a high polymer compound having carboxyl groups in the side chains as a binder. CONSTITUTION:This is the metallic paste composition for brazing consisting essentially of steel powder or metallic powder of nickel alloys or copper alloys produced by a method such as electrolyzing or atomizing, a water-soluble high polymer compound having carboxylic groups on the side chain and water. The high polymer compound includes homopolymers or copolymers of acrylic acids, methacrylic acids and their alkali metallc salts such as sodium, potassium, etc. and ammonium salts. The compounding ratios of the high polymer compound is 0.05-2wt%.
