Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the unbalance of a secondary side circuit in an induction machine by the fact that the output of a pulsating frequency detector connected to the primary side of the machine coincides with that of a beat frequency detector connected to the secondary side of the machine. CONSTITUTION:A pulsating frequency detector 12 is connected to the primary side of an induction machine 10. A tachometer generator 20 is, on the other hand, connected to the rotating shaft 18 of a rotor at the secondary side of the machine 10, and a beat frequency detector 22 is connected to the output side of the generator 20. A comparator 24 produces a signal to a warning device 26 when the output of the detector 12 coincides with that of the detector 22, thereby notifying that the secondary side of the machine 10 is in unbalanced state.
