Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve cut of a cell type hole by using the print method for providing on the dielectric layers of the first and second electrode holding plates a porous insulating layer which contains a small amount of magnesium in a mixture consisting of alumina and soldering glass. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 12 and 12 are formed on the electrode holding plates 11 and 11 consisting of transparent float plate glass and thus dielectric layers 13 and 13 are formed. Then, paste in which 160g alumina powder, 30g low melting point soldering glass, and 15g magnesium powder with average particle diameters of 5-10mu are mixed and blended with 75g vehicle is applied and dried using the print method so that a cell type hole 16 can be formed on the dielectric layers 13 and 13. After dried, the paste is solidified and configured as an insulating layer 14. This can prevent the edge of the cell type hole 16 formed on the insulating layer 14 from being formed in notched shape and can form a discharge space 16 whose cut is remarkably improved.
