Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform automatic changing-over at the point of an optimum change-over time without using any heating means from the outside of the system at the regenerating by heating and regenerating an adsorption cylinder by the high-temp. compressed air of a compressor, calculating the time required for the regeneration and moisture absorption of the adsorption cylinder from the loading time of the compressor and controlling change-over valves.
CONSTITUTION: The high-temp. compressed air from a compressor 1 is introduced through a receiver 12 into an adsorption cylinder 15 to heat and regenerate the same, after which it is sent via a change-over valve 20 to a drain separator 19, where it is removed of drain by a cooler 21 and a cyclone 22. Next, the compressed air is sent via the valve 20 to the cylinder 16 having been regenerated to absorb its moisture, after which it is sent to the outside of the system through a change-over valve 17 and a dry compressed air feed path 23. The changing-over of the valves 17, 20 is controlled by a feed air flow detector 25 consisting of a pressure switch provided to the receiver 12 and an integrating controller 26 integrating the loading time of the compressor 1 from this. The output side of the pressure switch is also connected to the control input side of the suction valve 101 and discharge valve 102 of the compressor. When the discharge pressure of the compressors exceeds the set value, the pressure switch goes off to stop supplying electricity to the controller 26, and the valves 101, 102 close.
