Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a ultrasonic probe adaptable to the high frequency, by fixing a piezovibrator consisting of plural plates to a backing material through a plane plate different from the backing material. CONSTITUTION:Vibrator 1 is stuck to backing material 4 through plate 8 which has a wavelength of an integral multiple of the 1/4 of the wavelength of vibrator 1. Electrode 3 is connected to lead 6 through plate 8. In respect to cutting of the vibrator, plate 8 is not cut completely but is left partially. Thus, even if backing material 4 consists of soft materials, the vibrator does not shake for cutting and is cut into a narrow width because vibrator 1 is stuck to hard plate 8.
