Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the existence of bubbles and the incomplete filling of ink in an ink chamber easily by a method wherein an oscillator is mounted to an ink jet recording device, and a point of resonance in the frequency characteristics is detected. CONSTITUTION:One is inputted to a differential amplifier 22 through a course passing a resistor 13 and an ink jet recording device 14 and the other through a course passing a resistor 21 and a capacitor 20 in the output signals of a sweeping generator 15. The output of the difference of the two input is inputted to a comparator 23, compared with voltage previously set by means of a variable resistor 24 and output. When the existence of bubbles is detected, the detected value is visually displayed by means of a detecting displaying device 17.
