Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent any corrosion of the contacting surfaces of a negative lead bar and a flat spring, and enable realization of good electric contact between the bar and the spring by interposing a grease containing a conductive agent between them. CONSTITUTION:A positive mixture 1 used as a generation element, a pasty negative agent 2, and a separator 3 are placed within a positive can 5. A negative lead bar 4, and a sealing body 6 equipped with an annular sealing body 7 are inserted in the open space of the positive can 5, before a peripheral part 62 of the sealing body 6 is sealed. After that, a flat spring 8 is interposed between the negaive lead bar 4 and a negatve terminal plate 9, and a head 41 of the bar 4 is pressed in the direction along the axis of the battery, thus a cylindrical alkaline battery is constituted. Here, for the purpose of enhancing the contact between the head 41 of the negative lead bar 4 and the flat spring 8, a conductive agent, such as a grease 18 containing flake graphite, is interposed between the head 41 and the spring 8.
