Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent false judgement due to the sunlight entering an optical fiber and the light of a following vehicle by retaining a detection signal on breaking on the bulb filament of an automobile lamp until all the power sources of the automobile are put out.
CONSTITUTION: The light from the bulb passes through the optical fiber 2 and thence to a photoelectric transducer 3 and a retaining circuit 4. When the light enters the photoelectric transducer, the output thereof is turned zero, and when the light does not enter the same, it is turned "1", and the signal is retained by the retaining circuit until all the power sources are put out, whereby false judgement by temporary outside light is prevented. So as to prevent the putting-out of an unrequired lamp from being judged as the filament breaking, a control switch 9 is provided in linkage and in parallel to a lamp switch 8 and is constituted so that when the switch is ON, the retaining circuit is kept in the state of waiting for detection of the breaking.
