Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a momentary break, by operating an auxiliary light emitting element, which is in a holding state, when degradation of a current light emitting element is detected and by operating both light emitting elements simultaneously in a time. CONSTITUTION:The light output of a current light emitting element 1 is led to a signal output terminal 5 through an optical fiber line 8, a light output switch 7, and an optical fiber line 10. When the current light emitting element is degraded, this degradation is detected by a detector 4, and an auxiliary light emitting element 2 which is in a holding state is operated to generate an output. Thus, a mirror 14 starts moving to cut off the output of the current light emitting element 1 gradually and leads the output of the auxiliary light emitting element from an optical fiber line 9 to the optical fiber line 10. After completion of the switching of the light output, the current light emitting element becomes the holding state.
