Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent laser light from leaking in advance by a laser safety device by detecting the breakage of wires in a flexible light introducing passage to thereby control the laser oscillation. CONSTITUTION:When a light introducing passage 4 is broken, a light detector 10 may detect light, but a reflective light detector 8 does not detect the light. When such ON and OFF signals are applied from the detectors 10 and 8 to an instrument controller 11, the latter closes the shutter in a main laser oscillator 3 and simultaneously breaks a power supply breaker in a power supply 12 by a signal therefrom so as to thereby break the laser light so as to stop the laser oscillation. When the passage 4 is not broken, both the detectors 8 and 10 do not detect the light to thereby control no laser oscillation.
