Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a long-sized prism lens array which is inexpensive and has uniform characteristics by alternately superposing plural prism arrays formed to a plate shape and plural lens arrays formed similarly to a plate shape thereby constituting the array. CONSTITUTION:Prisms lens arrays 31 and lens arrays 32 which respectively consist of four elements are alternately superposed zigzag in the row direction, whereby a long-sized array is formed. In this case, the number of arrangements and elements in each array are arbitrary, and the reason for arranging the arrays zigzag lies in that the array is strong against external forces and that the strong long-sized array is formed without requiring any other holding means. It is also possible to form the long-sized array by superposing prism arrays 33 and concave lens arrays 34 as well as concave lens arrays 34 and convex lens arrays 35 in such a manner that the joints of the respective arrays do not overlap.
