Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible the production of the bundle fiber of an arbitrary length by integrally fixing the multifibers of an arbitrary length having undergone machining at one end then machining the other end in such a manner that normal image transmission is accomplished thereafter integrally securing them.
CONSTITUTION: Round multifibers are used and only the two end portions thereof are machined to such a square or hexagonal shape by which the multifibers may be densely combined with each other. First, a plurality of these machined multifibers are combined and are integrally secured at one end through melt-sticking with heating or the like. After this, light is entered into the fibers from the end face formed by this integral fixing and according to the angular images 3 appearing at the other end faces of the respective multifibers, the portions of the other end parts unnecessary for image transmission are removed by machining, e.g. grinding, and after the disposition adjustment among the multifibers is done, these other end parts are integrally fixed. In this way, only the two end portions are corresponded one to one without arraying plural multifibers, the bundle fiber of an arbitrary length may be produced.
