Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the molding work of the mold for the subject stator frame by a method wherein the model of said stator frame is cut in two symmetrical upper and lower halves, and at the same time, a locking structure and a plurality of protruding sections having locking structure are formed at the right angle to the axial center line of the body section. CONSTITUTION:The upper mold 11, which has been made by cutting the model of the stator frame into two symmetrically at the axial center, is placed on the upper surface of a casting board 1, and at the same time, a molding frame 2 is placed on the upper surface of a molding board 1 in such manner that it is surrounding the upper model 11. Then, molding sand 8 is put in the molding frame 2, the molding sand 8 is stamped to proper hardness and a vent hole is provided in it. Then, the molding frame is inverted and placed on the board 1, and the upper model 11 is pulled out from the molding sand 8. Then, the lower mold is formed in the same manner, the core made by a wooden pattern is inserted into the lower mold, the upper mold 11 is superposed on the lower mold and after they are firmly coupled, casting of the stator frame is performed by pouring hot water.
