Abstract

PURPOSE: To attempt to perform deodorization and purification of smoke upon roasting meat by causing a stay to support a hood frame part integrally having a cylinder containing therein a bevel part at the lower part and a heater, a catalyst and a suction fan at the upper part in vertically movable manner.
CONSTITUTION: A motor having a heat sensitive catalyst 4 consisting of palladium and acting at high temperatures, a heater 5 and a suction fan 6 is contained in the cylindrical part of a hood frame body 3 integrally having at its lower part a bevel part and the at its upper part a cylindrical part 2. The frame part 3 is supported by a stay 8 in a vertically movable manner within a base seat 9. When a switch 11 is turned on, the heater 5 is heated to heat the catalyst 4. The motor 7 is started and the fan 6 is rotated. Accordingly, smoke generated upon roasting meat is deodorized and purified since CnHn which is a main component is decomposed into CO2 and H2O.
