Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a sontinuous adsorption apparatus in which while most of gas to be treated passes through a cylindrical adsorption layer, a part thereof passes heated through regeneration zones closely provided both on the front and back of the adsorption layer divided by diaphragms so as to burn concentrated malodorous gas.
CONSTITUTION: Gas to be treated is introduced as shown by 9 in the tangential direction to an adsorption zone inlet chamber 8 outside a cylindrical adsorption layer 5 and most thereof passes through the adsorption layer 5 from the chamber to absorb malodorous matters and is released into the air via an adsorption zone outlet chamber 3 inside the layer 5 as a purified gas. On the other hand, a part of the gas is fed to a regeneration zone inlet chamber 7 turning the chamber 8, piercing a rear layer heated as shown by 18 while malodorous matters adsorved is eliminated. The malodorous matters are inducted to a concentrated regeneration zone outlet chamber 4 and discharged out of the equipment maintaining a high temperature and burned with a combustion device 16 to remove noxious odor.
