Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the energy consumption and the investment in equipment, by a method wherein coolant for cooling and refrigerating is used in a fuel gas heating device.
CONSTITUTION: Part of a liquefied natural gas 2, loaded in a transportion tank 1, is gasified with the heat transferred to the inside of the tank 1 from the outside and the heat generated resulting from rolling and pitching due to the ship movement, and the generation of BOG results. The BOG is transferred to a boiler combustion unit through a fuel feed gas line 4 connecting together the tank 1 and the combustion unit in the boiler 7. A heat exchanger 5, which receives a thermal energy from an cooling, refrigerating device 8 and heat-exchanges between a coolant exhausted through a cooling pipe 9 and the BOG, is mounted in the middle of the gas line 4. As a result, the BOG 3 gasified in the tank 1 is somewhat increased in temperature in transit to the boiler 7 by means of the heat exchanger 5, and simultaneously, the heat exchanger 5 can supply a demand for cooling energy required in the ship.
