Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the hysteresis of a spiral spring and achieve a reduction a weight of the spring in both weight and size, by such a construction that the inside surface after the folded end part at a hook portion is adapted to a hanger in such a manner as to remove a clearance to freely support the outer end of the hook portion. CONSTITUTION:The inside surface after the end of a folded part 4b of a hook portion 4 is adapted to a hanger 5 in such a manner as to remove a clearance to freely support an outer end of the hook portion 4, and when a spiral spring S is wound to be tightened from its inner end side, the hook portion 4 is prevented by the hanger 5 from being rotated in the same direction as its wound-tightened direction to decrease the eccentric movement of a coil at the outside and relieve a contact between the coils. In this way, when the spiral spring is at work, the eccentricity of the coil at the outside can be decreased to obtain a reduction of hysteresis almost to a zero level and lower the noise level of coil rubbing, further a design characteristic of the spiral spring S is not required for grading it up beyond necessity, thus permitting the realization of weight and size reduction.
