Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease temp. fall of a soln. for treating car body etc. before painting during suspension of the treatment, by installing floatably heat-insulating covers on the surface of the treating soln. contained in the tank in such a way that the end parts of the covers may be movable along the side of the tank up and down in accordance with the level change. CONSTITUTION:In suspension of the treatment, insulating covers 7, 7' are floating on the whole surface of the treating soln. contained in a treatment tank. During the operation, ropes 9, 9' are wound through the rotation of power drums 11, 11' by driving machines 13, 13'. Hereby, the covers 7, 7' are lifted safely along fences 6, 6', and are removed from the surface of the treating soln. When the treatment is completed, the ropes 9, 9' are uncoiled through a reverse operation, so that the twice-folded covers 7, 7' are returned to the initial floating state. In order to restore the covers 7, 7' to the floating state, the covers are attached to the tank body floatably to a certain degree so that their ends parts may be movable up and down in accordance with the change in liquid level.
