Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease vibrations of a car body and noises in the car room employing a construction for supporting a coiled spring, in which an upper end of the coiled spring is supported swingably relative to a component of the car body to reduce the force which will thrust up the component of the car body. CONSTITUTION:On an upper surface of a spring seat 12 which will abut against a body component 8, are provided two projections 12a, 12a in the inverted V shape and positioned on radially opposite sides of the spring seat 12, while the projections 12a, 12a are installed at both sides of the car body. Due to the abutting of only the projections against the body component 8, the upper end of the coiled spring 5 is supported to be able to swing to the longitudinal direction of the car body. When a bend vibration is generated in the coiled spring 5, the spring seat 12 can swing on the upper ends of the projections 12a, 12a, and the upward thrust due to the bend deformation of the coiled spring 5, therefore, cannot be effective as thrust to push up the body component 8.
