CONSTITUTION:Capstan 9 is connected directly to DC motor 11, and motor 11 is controlled by the control signal from control circuit 12. This control signal is generated by the voltage from potentiometer 14 connected directly to dial 13. For the rotation angle of dial 13, the tape moving speed is changed on a basis of change curve C which changes with an exponential function as shown in the figure. As a result, the change of the tape speed is small for the change of the rotation angle of dial 13 near reproducing of the still picture, so that the smooth speed control with a high resolution where the fine adjustment of the tape speed is easy is possible.
