Abstract
PURPOSE:To release a dedicated common-use bus rapidly by recognizing the fault of a central processor via a coupling and connection device and by inputting to a bus switch control means the command of disconnecting the common-use bus dediated to the central processor. CONSTITUTION:When central processors 1-1-1-3 make the request for the use of common-use buses 4-1 and 4-2, processors 1-1-1-3 inform coupling devices 2-1- 2-3 of the request for the use. Devices 2-1-2-3, once receiving the information, register the request in reserve registers. Devices 2-1-2-3 diagnose processors 1-1- 1-3 periodically and, when recognizing the fault of one of processors 1-1-1-3, inform bus connection controller 10 of that via coupling-device bus 14. Then, bus switches S11, S12...S31 and S32 are checked to find ones under the control of the processor recognized to be faulty by common-use bus monitor devices 9-1-9-2, and under the commands of devices 2-1-2-3, common-use bus 4-1 or 4-2 is disconnected rapidly from the faulty-processor bus 3-1, 3-2 or 3-3.
