Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate a selective floatation with high efficiency at a lowered operational cost, by adding SO2 or a sulfite as a conditioner to an ore liquid while mixing ari into the ore liquid.
CONSTITUTION: In the selective floatation process for obtaining each refined mineral from a complex sulfide ore or the like containing sulfide minerals of copper, lead and the like by a sulfurous acid floatation, SO2 or sulfite conditioner is added to an ore liquid, while the ore liquid is being mixed with air. Thereafter, floatation reagents such as a collector, a foaming agent, etc. are added to the ore liquid, and the ore liquid is subjected to a selective lead floatation or a copper lead bulk floatation. According to this floatation process, SO2 or sulfite, which was added for suppressing a zinc mineral and an iron sulfide mineral, avoids floatation deterioration of the lead mineral. Consequently, the floatation can be done with high efficiency at a lowered operational cost.
