Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate a selective floatation with high efficiency at a lowered operational cost, by adding SO2 or a sulfite as a conditioner to an ore-grinding line or an ore liquid, and then mixing air into the liquid in an acidic zone.
CONSTITUTION: In the selective floatation process for obtaining each refined mineral from a complex sulfide ore or the like containing sulfide minerals of copper, lead and the like by a sulfurous acid floatation, SO2 or a sulfite is added as a conditioner to an ore-grinding line or a ground-ore liquid, and an air is mixed into the liquid in an acidic zone. Thereafter, floatation reagents such as a collector, a foaming agent, etc. are added to the ore liquid, and the ore liquid is then subjected to a lead floatation or a copper lead bulk floatation. According to this floatation process, SO2 of the like conditioner for suppressing a zinc mineral and an iron sulfide mineral avoids floatation deterioration of the lead mineral. Consequently, the floatation can be done with high efficiency at a lowered operational cost.
