Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the attenuation of a reception input attending upon an increase in the attenutation of a transmission output by branching and connecting the transmission output and reception input via hybrid couplers, respectively and by inserting a variable phase shifter into one connecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The output of transmitter 34 is sent from hybrid coupler 37, using magic T, to circuits 32 and 33 and not sent to receiver 35. While variable phase shifter 38 is not in operation, hybrid coupler 36 outputs all signals from circuits 32 and 33 to antenna 31 and as phase shifter 38 makes a phase shift, the output proceeds from antenna 31 to terminating resistance 39. In reception, a received radio wave is branched by hybrid 36 and according to the phase shift of phase shifter 38, the received signal proceeds from transmitter 34 to receiver 35 through hybrid 37. Consequently, the attenuation of the reception input attending upon an increase in the attenuation of the transmission output is reduced without using a variable attenuator and circulator to facilitate the standardization and mass-production of devices.
