Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable easy adjustment with a given step, by branching an input signal to branch circuits through two transmission lines, and inserting a variable attenuator, variable phase shifter and variable synchronizing frequency resonator at one or both the transmission lines. CONSTITUTION:The input signal from the terminal 11 is branched at a branch circuit 12, one reaches to a synthesizer 12 through a delay circuit 15, and another reaches the resonator 19 through a variable attenuator 16, variable phase shifter 17, and circulator 18 and comes to the synthesizer 21 at full reflection at the resonator 19. By changing the turning frequency of the resonator 19, the valley of amplitude and frequency characteristics can be moved to an arbitrary location in the band. By changing the amount of coupling between the resonator 19 and the circulator 18, the sharpness (Q) of the valley of the characteristics is changed.
