Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the blackening degree, fogging, triboelectric charging characteristics and toner film formability of a photoreceptor by developing an electrostatic charge image with a mixture of a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image and an inorg. compound having a surface made lipophilic. CONSTITUTION:The inorg. compound is selected from a group consisting of carbonate, phosphate, pyrophosphate, polyphosphate, aluminum silicate, aluminum oxide and titanium oxide, and it is made lipophilic with fatty acid, resin acid or metal salt thereof. The weight ratio of the inorg. compound to the fatty or resin acid is adjusted to about (10-99):(1-10). The amount of the acid-treated inorg. compound used is about 0.01-5pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. of the toner for developing an electrostatic charge image. When fatty acid or its metal salt is mixed, separation and scattering are caused, yet the inorg. compound is free from such trouble.
