Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a cam mechanism and prevent a loss of rotation energy by a method wherein a rotational operation of a driving shaft is translated into an instantanous rotational movement under a utilization of magnetic restriction force acted between the two permanent magnets.
CONSTITUTION: Driving shaft 1 and a driven shaft 10 are connected through a connecting mechanism 3 such as a resilient means or a magnetic coupling etc. A plurality of first permanent magnetic means 11 are arranged at the shaft 10 along a circumferential part thereof, and a plurality of second permanent magnets 20 are fixed to a close outer circumference of the magnets 11. The magnets 20 may separately be arranged. They are set such that when the shaft 1 is rotated by one turn, a torque generated by the connecting mechanism 3 exceeds a maximum slippage torque produced between the magnets 11 and 20. Thus, when the shaft 1 is rotated and a rotary energy (torque) is accumulated in the mechanism 3 to cause a stable condition of the magnets 11 and 20 to be disrupted, the shaft 10 is rotated instantaneously to cause the same phase as that of the shaft 1, and subsequently a similar operation is repeated.
