Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a torque transmission apparatus which can protect overload and has no wear by providing three multipole permanent magnets to the first driving shaft so that two magnets are fixed and one magnet can be slidden, and connecting the slidable magnet and the second rotary shaft by engaging part. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical multipole magnets 1 and 2 having the same number of poles are fixed to the driving shaft 5 and the square multipole magnet 3 having the same number of poles is provided between said two magnet. The poles of the three multipole magnets 1-3 are so arranged that the magnets 2 and 3 are attracted and the magnets 1 and 3 are repelled. Furthermore, a stopper 7 is provided on the opposing rotary body 6. When the driving shaft 5 is rotated under this condition, the torque is transmitted to the rotary body 6. However, if the overload is introduced, the slipping is generated between the magnets 2 and 3 and they repell each other. Since the square multipole magnet 3 is held between a spacer 4 and the stopper 7, and the driving shaft 5 rotates in an idling mode, the torque is not transmitted to the rotary body 6.
