Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the discharge performance of an alkaline manganese battery, and enhance the pulse characteristic of the battery under the condition of a low temperature and a high load, by using a positive mixture containing manganese dioxide and mercury oxide in a given ratio CONSTITUTION:A positive mixture 2, which undergoes compression molding and is placed within a case 1, is prepared by mixing manganese dioxide, which is the main component of a depolarizer, mercury oxide and a graphite powder. The ratio of the mercury oxide contained in the positive mixture to the former manganese dioxide is restricted to be 10-50wt%.
